
NOTE: This Italian dipping sauce is perfect for dipping Italian crusty bread while waiting for your favorite Italian entree. You will love the flavors in this delicious sauce and it will be hard to stop the dipping!
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh Italian flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, or seeds
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- pinch of granulated garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- extra virgin olive oil for bread plates

- Place the oregano, basil, parsley, and rosemary in a bowl. Add the minced garlic and using a pestle, pound the herbs and garlic together. Add the granulated garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Stir together to combine. To serve, place 1 to 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil on bread plates and add 1/2 teaspoon herb mixture. Dip crusty Italian bread. Makes ten 1/2 teaspoons servings.
