Historic Bridgeton Covered Bridge

People say this historical landmark offers a covered bridge festival with a wide variety of crafts, food, and vendors.  They highlight the beautiful views of the bridge, mill, and water, and the interesting history of the mill.  They also like the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to shop for unique, handmade items.  Visitors come out by the thousands to behold the most unique hand made sculptures, wood carvings, beautiful paintings, hand-made jewellery, handmade toys, Fall and Christmas paraphernalia, and the best chocolates, fudges, kettle corn, and foods anywhere found.

The atmosphere is charged with excitement, and while people are seemingly back to back, everyone seems to know where they are going.  To find the perfect collectable, authentic arts and crafts, handmade quilts, and bedding, people come from all over to visit the more than 400 vendors.  One of the most unique places to visit is the mill, where wheat is threshed on the spot, and then processed into wonderful loaves of homemade bread right out of the oven.  Who could resist the smell of the yeast filling the air?

All of this, plus the landscape of acres and acres of beautiful farmland, leaves turning brilliant colors, and the covered bridges with cascading water falls.  This is the place to come for a day, two days, or the entire 10 days.  Bring family, bring friends, your pets, your wagons, and plenty of memories; money won’t hurt either!   ATM’s or on the spot!  Have fun Y’all!
