There are over 24 amazing dining establishment on The Hill.   Not only restaurants, but Italian Groceries such as DiGregorios, Urzi’s, Vitale’s Bakery, for the best Italian bread, and of course the famous Missouri bakery, for three types of homemade cannoli.  You can get the best of pizzas, gellato, homemade lemon ices, and a plethora of Italian foodies.

Some of the 5 best things to do on The Hill:  The famous Piazza fountain, The Gateway Arch, Missouri Botanical Garden, Busch Stadium, and the City Museum.  Of course, The St. Ambrose Church that was founded by Italian immigrants is a must see edifice.

I can remember going to The Hill as a young girl with my mother and dad.  It was called Hill Day, and there was homemade pasta with meat sauce on every corner.  We had homemade bread, Italian salads, and homemade cannoli filled with ricotta cream.  It was so much fun, and as my Italian mother met her many friends, she would rattle off her Italian along with hugs and kisses.  It was wonderful then, and it has lasted over decades, still inviting anyone and everyone to the Italian community called The Hill.
