Each year in the month of September the North District Assembly of God organization in the state of MO., offer an 8-day bus tour to various places in the US. This past September 9 through 16 we boarded a large transit coach bus to hold 38 passengers. Our destination was North Carolina and a return tour of Chattanooga, TN. The first day was a lot of traveling and getting acquainted. We stopped for supper at Texas Roadhouse, and then enjoyed our night at the beautiful Hampton Inn.

Day 2, we had a great hotel hot breakfast, enjoyed devotion by our 91-year-old minister, Cliff Testin. On the the bus for traveling day, we had comedy hour on the bus and then broke out into laughing deliriously. For lunch, we ate at the very authentic Mexican restaurant Cazadores just outside of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I and some sweet friends hurriedly got the best peach Cobbler at Peachy’s, down from the restaurant. Before boarding the but I spotted a “Cato’s” and dashed in to but 2 pair of summer white heels! Never let a sale pass me by. Back on the bus and still on Day 2, we drove to the famous Buc-ee’s Gas Station located in Crossville, TN. This “gas station” boasts 120 gas pumps, 54,750 square feet of building housing, “on the spot” fresh made brisket, pulled pork, beef jerky, homemade bakery, fudge, kettle corn and way too much to mention. i definitely had the beef brisket sandwich, all piled up with the best tasting brisket I ever had.

Look for Day 3 in next blog.
