Our Havanese puppy, Mr. Peppers, turns 6 years old in February 2026. I have written many stories about Mr. Peppers, and if you have been following the posts, you know he is quite smart, active, and always adventurous. He still loves for me to take him for walks, and I can attest, still performs for treats. He still plays the piano, rolls over, gives me 5’s, and prays. He has been quite the companion, even though at times he gets the “doggy attitude” and does what he wants. He still keeps guard on top of the easy chair by the picture window in the living room, barking at the coming and going cars on our court. So, for his birthday, I will probably make him a salmon dish with green beans, one of his favorite meals. Bill will take him to Walmart and let him ride in the cart, so he can show-off for everyone coming and going. He loves all the petting, and of course, the exercise is good for Bill. So, we say, Happey Birthday, Mr. Peppers!! You have given us days of enjoyment, and for that we are thankful!
