I love to write cookbooks! And even though it has been quite a long time since my last cookbook, Rosalie Serving Best Loved Italian, I still love to create new dishes. Cooking is more than a hobby for me, it is my upbringing, my culture, and I must say, my love. There is much satisfaction in serving others your food. Seeing the joy as they consume your creation, is worth all of the effort.
I also love to book sign, and these events have brought me so much joy. Some of the wonderful places I have had the privilege of visiting have been right here in my home state, Indiana. Setting up my small black table with the red tablecloth, displaying my cookbooks, Rosalie Serving Country, and Best Loved Italian cookbooks, is how I start the event. I meet so many wonderful people, and sometimes those who already have my books, will tell me of the joy they experience while making the recipes.
Last week I was in Nashville, IN. I was able to be right in front of the famous Fudge Kitchen, and it was a wonderful experience. I start off telling them that I am the cookbook author from Terre Haute, and the conversation begins. Where it leads can be fascinating, even intense at times. I have learned so much from these folks, and all while signing the book they just purchased. Hopefully, God will grant me a few more days to continue on this wonderful path.
