Little Italy Festival in Clinton, Indiana, is a four-day Labor Day Weekend celebration honouring the area’s Italian immigrant and coal mining heritage with Italian and carnival foods, grape stomping, a wine garden, live entertainment, a large parade, and a flea market. The festival was established in 1966, and draws significant crowds and also features cultural performances, children’s activities, and the Indiana Bocce Ball championship.
This Italian community has an Italian museum, and a coal mining museum, plus many Italian points of interest. One of these Italian places to visit is Gerrie’s Italian restaurant, known for the famous Italian Beef Sandwich. The restaurant will no doubt be over-flowing with visitors during the Little Italy Festival this weekend.
If you get a chance, please bring your family to this fun place, and enjoy the many events going on at the Little Italy Festival. For hungry visitors, be sure to visit Gerrie’s Italian Restaurant where I will be book signing my cookbooks, Rosalie Serving Best Loved Italian, and
